We all want renewable energy, but we don't want Cape Wind. There are other, better technologies available that can produce green energy at a lower cost and without harming the Cape and Islands' environment.
Since Cape Wind was proposed, there have been great strides made in deep water wind development, meaning that wind can be moved farther and farther offshore. In Maine, they are harnessing tidal power.
Additionally, Cape Wind's extravagant price tag means it does not make economic sense. Other green initiatives like energy efficiency and alternative power sources can provide power and save the environment at half the cost of Cape Wind.
